Job summary

Ascension’s Neurodiagnostic Lab at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin is hiring for a Neurodiagnostic Technologist. You’ll oversee daily workflows, coordinate testing schedules, and provide expert care for complex cases during night shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
• ABRET Neurodiagnostic credentials obtained prior to hire date (or equivalent).
• Alternate ABRET credentials for Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit or Evoked Potential accepted.
• Nerve Conduction Study credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct Daily Clinical Operations: oversee daily neurodiagnostic workflows and testing schedules.
• Optimize Team Performance: mentor staff with quality management and evaluations.
• Deliver Advanced Patient Care: act as SME for complex cases and elite technologist duties.
• Foster Collaborative Leadership: promote teamwork and high standards across the unit.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Direct Daily Clinical Operations: Oversee daily neurodiagnostic workflows and testing schedules to optimize department productivity and efficiency.
• Optimize Team Performance: Mentor technical staff through proactive quality management, formal performance evaluations, and clinical guidance.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Technologist specializing in Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Tech specializing in Nerve Conduction Study obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
  degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
