Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEG testing in clinical settings and critical care areas. You will calibrate equipment, review records, explain procedures to patients, and report findings for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities include artifact correction, equipment maintenance, and joining a team that emphasizes compassionate patient care. Weekend call coverage is required.

Qualifications

• EEG training standards as established by ASENET/ABRET.
• ABRET certification required.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited electroneurodiagnostic technologist program, or 3 years EEG experience.

Responsibilities

• Review the patient's medical record and assess the patient to determine their physical and emotional needs.
• Communicate information about the test and explain the testing procedure to the patient and/or family.
• Identify and correct for artifacts before forwarding results to the attending physician.
• Assist in maintaining EEG equipment and supplies.
