Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform routine and complex EEG testing in the lab and critical care areas. You will calibrate equipment, review records, explain procedures, and report findings to physicians for analysis.

Weekend call coverage is required: Friday 7:00pm to Monday 7:00am, with responsibilities including artifact correction and equipment maintenance. PRN/part-time opportunities are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• EEG testing must follow hospital policies and national standards.
• ABRET credential required for appointment.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited program or 3 years EEG experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and assess physical and emotional needs.
• Explain testing procedures to patient and/or family.
• Identify and correct artifacts before forwarding results.
• Assist in maintaining EEG equipment and supplies.
