Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking an EEG Technician II for a mid-night shift to perform high-quality EEG studies and provide neurological monitoring support. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of study completion and reporting.

Willing to travel to Grosse Pointe Farms, West Bloomfield, Taylor, and Troy for coverage and patient care at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years EEG experience or graduation from an accredited EEG technician program.
• R.EEG T. credential or ABRET board eligibility.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and video EEG studies with high quality and accuracy.
• Conduct seizure monitoring and provide real-time clinical support.
• Scan, correlate, and clip study information according to departmental standards.
• Facilitate all aspects of study completion and ensure timely reporting.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients to support quality patient care.
• Maintain technical proficiency and stay current with EEG equipment and protocols.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technician II

Mid Night shift position

We are seeking a skilled EEG Technician II to perform high-quality electroencephalogram studies and provide essential neurological monitoring support. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of study completion and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and video EEG studies with high quality and accuracy
• Conduct seizure monitoring and provide real-time clinical support
• Scan, correlate, and clip study information according to departmental standards
• Facilitate all aspects of study completion and ensure timely reporting
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients to support quality patient care
• Maintain technical proficiency and stay current with EEG equipment and protocols

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Two or more years of experience performing EEG procedures, OR graduation from an accredited EEG technician program
• Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (R.EEG T.) credential or board eligibility status through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited EEG Technician program
• Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
