Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a capable EEG Technologist to perform routine and video EEGs and seizure monitoring during night shifts. You will scan, correlate and clip data, and help finalize reports within the EEG lab. Strong communication and technical skills are essential to coordinate care across the department.

The role requires either 2+ years of EEG procedure experience or graduation from an accredited ENDT program. Certification as an R. EEG T.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in EEG procedures or graduate from an accredited program.
• Graduate from a CAAHEP ENDT program or an Associate's degree or higher is desired.

Education/Experience Required

• High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in the performance of EEG procedures OR the candidate is a graduate from an accredited program.
• Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited ENDT program or an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired.

Certification/Licensures Required

• Credentialed as a Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (R. EEG T.) or board eligible by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) standards.
• Current BLS certification.

Candidate will be required to pass ABRET Registry board exams within 2 years of hire date.
