Waterville Public Schools seeks an Educational Technician III for the Self-Contained/Day Treatment program at Brookside Elementary School to support students with diverse needs and implement IEPs.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of post-secondary education or 90 semester hours in an educationally related field.
• Appropriate Department of Education Certification.
• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Training or experience in the application of behavior management.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work with computers and other educational technologies.
• Ability to follow multi-step directions.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional and assessment support under the general guidance of the teacher.
• Collaborates with supervising teacher and carries out lesson plans.
• Maintains safe environment through consistency and communication with students and staff.
• Follows student plans as defined in written plans.
• Records and summarizes student observations as directed.
• Maintains records of student work, behavior, and progress.
