Qualifications

• Certification by the Department of Education is required.
• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Training or experience in behavior management.
• Ability to follow multi-step directions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and assessment support under the teacher's guidance.
• Create/carry out lesson plans with supervising teacher.
• Maintain safe classroom environment through consistency and communication.
• Follow student plans and approved techniques.
• Conduct, record, and summarize student observations.
• Prepare calendars, boards, and instructional materials as directed.
• Participate in staff meetings and supervision.
• Document student progress and behaviors accurately.
• Use educational technologies to support learning.
• Perform additional duties as requested by administration or supervising staff.
