Job summary

Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis, IN seeks a part-time Educational Support Services teacher to work closely with teachers and families to support students enrolled in intervention programs.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree (education preferred) with a focus on learning differences; NILD or Orton-Gillingham certification is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education.
• Advanced degree in special education or related field preferred.
• NILD or Orton-Gillingham certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational experiences for students needing academic support.
• Support students’ intellectual, social, personal and spiritual growth.
• Assist with placement within intervention programs and progress monitoring.
• Communicate with teachers and families regarding student progress and accommodations.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain an effective classroom environment.
• Deliver targeted interventions and adapt methods for individual needs.
• Adhere to school policies and ESS program guidelines.
