Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional Educator License issued by the Illinois State Board of Education preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in education, human services, or disability-related field and Paraprofessional Educator License, or Professional Educator License/with Stipulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students as directed by teachers.
• Assist with classroom materials and setup; operate supportive technology.
• Supervise students during activities and track progress per IEP.
• Maintain records and files related to assignment and observations.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement behavioral plans.
• Assist with daily activities such as transitions, meals, and toileting.
• Support student independence and safe classroom environment.
• Attend required meetings and participate as part of the team.
