Job summary

Piedmont Public Schools is seeking an Educational Sign Language Interpreter for Northwood Elementary in Piedmont, Oklahoma. The role supports Deaf and hard-of-hearing students to access the general education curriculum through sign language interpretation.

The position is part-time on-site with a nine-month term and a salary range of $28,980 to $52,290 per year. The interpreter will work under the Principal, aligning with IEP/504 goals and school policies.

Qualifications

• Completed requirements for Educational Interpreters as outlined by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation and/or transliteration services for students who are Deaf, hard of hearing or Deaf/Blind.
• Abide by NAD-RID/EIPA Interpreter's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with school staff to provide quality interpretation for students.
• Support assigned student's academic, social, and cognitive growth.
