Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a Professional Learning Specialist to design, align, and facilitate professional learning for educators across the District. This role supports leadership development and MTSS implementation, partnering with school teams to improve instructional practice and student outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring a Master’s in education, 5+ years of teaching and PD leadership, and PA Administrative certification.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in education, teacher leadership, administration or a related field.
Five years of full-time, paid teaching experience including evidence-based interventions and professional development leadership.
Possession of a valid PA Administrative certificate for K-12 or Principal.

Responsibilities

Designs and facilitates professional learning sessions and courses for educators.
Coaches leadership teams, teacher leaders, and teachers in implementing professional learning.
Develops plans to measure the impact of professional learning and creates data collection tools.
Hires and develops part-time staff to support district-wide programming.
Leads content programming, logistics, and communication for large-scale district professional learning.
