Job summary

Xavier University’s School of Education invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction in Educational Administration beginning Fall 2027. This on-campus role requires K-12 leadership experience and excellence in online teaching, with a commitment to preparing ethical, reflective leaders.

The candidate will teach graduate courses, advise students, assist with curriculum development, and engage with school districts and community partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in educational leadership or closely related field.
• Three to five years of successful experience as a building principal in a K–12 setting.
• Proven excellence in online teaching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations.
• Commitment to Xavier University’s Jesuit Catholic mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses in educational administration and leadership, including online formats.
• Advise and mentor graduate students pursuing leadership degrees, licenses, and certificates.
• Develop and revise curriculum aligned with outcomes, standards, and licensure.
• Support student learning, development, and progress toward goals.
• Maintain relationships with school districts, educational organizations, and community partners.
• Participate in program assessment, accreditation, recruitment, and continuous improvement.
