Job summary

Pellissippi State Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Educational Leadership Studies with an emphasis on higher education leadership. The instructor will plan and teach courses, supervise student activities, and evaluate progress in classroom and lab settings.

The position requires a Master’s degree, a graduate certificate in leadership studies (or leadership experience in higher education).

Qualifications

Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
Graduate certificate in leadership studies (minimum 15 hours) or equivalent higher education leadership experience.
Commitment to teaching and student learning in higher education.

Responsibilities

Plan and teach classes as assigned and per course descriptions and syllabi.
Supervise the study and learning activities of students.
Submit requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and instructional aids through the department head or lead teacher.
Evaluate the academic progress of students.
Demonstrate knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures per Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
Submit course grades and perform other administrative duties as required.
Schedule two office hours or provide a written access plan to the Dean if office hours cannot be scheduled.
