The State of North Carolina - Health & Human Services’ Murdoch Developmental Center seeks an Educational Developmental Assistant to support 36 adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The role trains individuals in daily living activities and documents progress within prescribed plans.

Based at Murdoch Center in Butner, NC, the position follows a 7:00am–3:00pm schedule and requires completion of the Center's Basic Training Series; applicants must meet education/experience criteria

Qualifications

• High school or GED and one year of experience working with students.
• Equivalent education/experience combinations may apply per the posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide skill training and documentation in hygiene, grooming, toileting, bathing, dressing, dining, communication, money management, safety.
• Serve as an integral team participant to support individuals in living and working environments.
• Collaborate to ensure overall well-being, health and safety per the Person Centered Plan.
