The Educational Developmental Assistant (EDA) serves as a lead instructional trainer in a home setting by providing specialized instructional training and educational activities to individuals to maximize independence in a variety of skill areas which may include: self-care, communication, socialization, domestic, dining, meal preparation, utilizing appliances and kitchen equipment and money management. The EDA assists teachers and/or active treatment coordinators in assessing individual strengths, needs, and preferences to support the development of effective instructional training objectives and educational activities. They are responsible for direct instruction, ensuring proper daily implementation, monitoring instructional progress and maintaining accurate documentation of progress, as well as ensuring all staff are trained and familiar with training objectives. They are also responsible for providing feedback and recommendations to address ongoing progress and program development while keeping accurate records of responses to instruction (data) on instructional objectives for all assigned individuals. Additionally, the EDA position serves as an educational assistant for all other educational task assigned by the teacher or active treatment coordinator. They also serve as an educational support staff in the home setting and other instructional areas as directed by the teacher or active treatment coordinator.
Salary Range: $ 31,200.00 - $48,810.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcements. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred.
