Job summary

Cardinal Education in Burlingame, CA is seeking an Educational Consultant for in-person work with families, providing personalized 1-on-1 academic support in the afternoon and evening. The role focuses on standardized test prep, ongoing coursework, executive function coaching, and confidence building.

You will also participate in business operations across sales, recruitment, research, curriculum, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an elite university.
• Proficiency in high school-level core Humanities subjects, including AP-level math.
• Exceptional writing proficiency with strong pedagogy for teaching composition.
• Prior experience tutoring high school students in Humanities.
• Vehicle and driver's license for travel between offices and to homes.
• Flexible hours including evenings and 1 weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 academic support and advising to students and families.

Job Overview:

This is an in-person role in Burlingame, California. Educational Consultants work directly with students and families in the afternoon and evening to provide personalized 1-on-1 academic support and advising for:

5. Confidence and Soft Skill-building

During the morning and midday, besides receiving training on teaching pedagogy, Educational Consultants learn about and contribute to the growth and operations of the business in some of the following fields based on aptitude:

4. Curriculum Development
5. Marketing
6. Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an elite, nationally accredited university.
• Proficiency in high school-level core Humanities subjects, including AP-level math.
• Exceptional writing proficiency coupled with the pedagogical skills to teach composition effectively.
• Prior experience tutoring/coaching high school-aged students in Humanities subjects.
• Having a registered vehicle and a license for transportation between offices and to students’ homes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and 1 weekend day for 8 months of the year.

Compensation & Benefits:

• On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000-$115,000+
• Base Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000
• Performance & Referral-Based Bonuses: $15,000-$40,000+
• Paid out in two installments yearly
