Job summary

Cardinal Education is seeking educational consultants for an in-person role in Burlingame, California. You will work with students and families in the afternoon and evening to provide personalized 1-on-1 academic support and advising in ELA, math, writing, history, and executive function.

Expect a competitive base salary of $70,000–$75,000 with on-target earnings of $85,000–$115,000+, plus bonuses, benefits, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an elite, nationally accredited university.
• Proficiency in high school-level core Humanities subjects, including AP-level literature and language courses.
• Exceptional writing proficiency coupled with the pedagogical skills to teach composition effectively.
• Prior experience tutoring/coaching high school-aged students in Humanities subjects.
• Having a registered vehicle and a license for transportation between offices and to students’ homes.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and 1 weekend day for 8 months of the year.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 academic support and advising for ELA, Math, and Writing for grades 1–8.
• Support ongoing school coursework and history classes.
• Assist with executive function management and confidence/soft-skill building.
• Learn and contribute to business growth and operations during morning/midday sessions.

Job Overview:

This is an in-person role in Burlingame, California. Educational Consultants work directly with students and families in the afternoon and evening to provide personalized 1-on-1 academic support and advising for:

During the morning and midday, besides receiving training on teaching pedagogy, Educational Consultants learn about and contribute to the growth and operations of the business in some of the following fields based on aptitude:
