Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Examine students with ear, hearing or balance problems.
• Assess exam results and diagnose the student.
• Interpret audiological test results for the IEP team.
• Select and fit appropriate classroom amplification.
• Monitor progress and adjust amplification as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings to determine services.
• Counsel students, staff and families on communication methods.
• Educate staff on preventing hearing loss.
