This position provides support for documenting Tier II and Tier III intervention plans and offers technical, administrative, and instructional assistance in planning, developing, and administering academic or instructional programs, school-based administration, or student support programs. The role involves facilitating Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiatives, providing professional guidance and support to staff or teachers, and ensuring the proper implementation and delivery of inclusive academic programs at the school or specific program level.

Currently, this position is funded by the Coordinated Early Intervening Support (CCEIS) grant. This position is a school-based assignment supervised by the principal of the identified CCEIS school to support the functions outlined below:

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates and aligns all supports, interventions, strategies, and initiatives to promote positive student outcomes in collaboration with school leaders.
  • Assists teachers in designing and implementing Tier II and Tier III academic and behavioral intervention
  • Supports the implementation of the Student Study Team (SST) process, including monitoring the implementation of school-based resources and Tier II and Tier III academic and behavioral interventions to support teachers in developing SST referrals.
  • Provides training, consultation, observations, modeling, coaching, and feedback to teachers and school-based teams to assist with MTSS implementation.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining a problem-solving framework that supports tiered response strategies throughout the school.
  • Analyzes, interprets, and shares data with staff; leads data reflection dialogues with instructional staff and facilitates data decisions with school-based staff.
  • Assists with Tier II and Tier III intervention design and may deliver interventions to targeted students'
  • Provides research-based academic and behavioral interventions and strategies for classroom teachers.
  • Collaborates with outside agencies and school-based staff on family outreach strategies to increase positive home-school communication and engagement.
  • Organizes and executes site-based workshops and job-embedded professional development
  • Reviews instructional processes for compliance with federal, state, and district policies, regulations, and
  • Collaborates with school staff to provide all students with equitable access to the core
  • Supports the instructional leadership team (ILT) and/or collaborative planning teams with planning, developing, monitoring, and evaluating school-level academic programs and interventions.
  • Assists teachers and administration in monitoring student progress and attainment of grade-level standards.
  • Serves as a resource in the organization, development, and preparation of the master intervention schedule at the school.
  • Attends required training and professional development in alignment with district and CCEIS

Maximum Salary 146737.00

Minimum Salary 75173.00

Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field from an accredited college or university; Master's degree
  • Valid Maryland State Department of Education Standard Professional Certificate or Advanced Professional Certificate.
  • A minimum of four years of successful teaching.
  • Experience with collaborative planning, coaching, and delivery of differentiated staff development to classroom teachers.
  • Knowledge of behavioral and academic interventions, such as Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), that support high-quality instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Knowledge of research-based reading strategies, including awareness of developmentally appropriate instruction for students.
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills, and efficiency in meeting deadlines.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills.
  • Experience facilitating teams and supporting results-oriented goals.
  • Skilled in interpreting, understanding, and applying data.
  • Proficient in the use of multiple computer applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, PD Tracking and reporting software, databases, and Online Professional Learning software.
