Job summary

Qualifications

• Examination approved by the Hawaii State Department of Education (ParaPro or ParaPathways).
• At least 48 baccalaureate-level credits including 3 in mathematics and 3 in English.
• An associate degree or higher from an accredited institution recognized by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs academic and instruction-related support activities as directed by the teacher.
• Provides social, vocational, and daily living instruction to students with disabilities.
• Performs counseling support activities, builds rapport, observes progress, and supports healthy self-concept.
• Provides articulation reinforcement lessons and drills under guidance of a speech pathologist.
