Job summary

Applitrack is hiring a Sign Language Interpreter in Georgia to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within Gwinnett County Public Schools. The interpreter uses American Sign Language and spoken English to facilitate classroom communication and supports the D/HH program.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 2 years interpreting experience, and certification such as EIPA 3.5+ or RID/NAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of interpreting experience required.
• EIPA 3.5+ or RID/NAD certification required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication among Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, peers, and staff using ASL and spoken English.
• Interpret all mainstream classes for D/HH students.
• Interpret for extracurricular activities as requested by supervisor.
• Participate in IEP meetings as a member of the IEP team when requested.
• Maintain credentials and stay current in the field.
