Job summary

Essentia Health’s St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN, is seeking Surgical Technologist students for an operating room role with a 36-hour workweek and rotating shifts. A $20,000 paid education benefit is offered in exchange for a 2-year service commitment after graduation.

You must be enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program to qualify. Shifts range 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 10:00 am–6:30 pm, or 11:00 pm–7:30 am, with about four night shifts every four weeks.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 1 month of hire.
• Obtaining a certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Job Description:

Essentia Healh is eeking Surgical Technologist students to commit to serve in the operating room at St. Mary's Medical Center, located in Duluth, Minnesota. Selected applicants will receive a paid education benefit of $20,000 in exchange for serving at Essentia Health for a 2-year period of time upon graduation. You must be currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program to qualify. Online certificate programs and prerequisite courses will not qualify you for this program. This surgical technologist works 36 hours weekly, including every fourth weekend and a holiday rotation. Shifts are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, and 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. Around four night shifts are required every four weeks.

What You'll Do:
