Job summary

Haskell CISD in Texas is seeking a District Technology Director to lead the Information Technology Department and guide district-wide technology initiatives beginning December 2026. The director will provide strategic direction for the development, deployment, and use of information technology across the district.

The role involves analyzing complex campus and admin needs, establishing standards for hardware and software, managing assets and security, coordinating with the education service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Experience with educational technology preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex school business needs presented by campuses and admin departments, and develop technical solutions.
• Develop and implement district standards and specifications for hardware, software use, and networking.
• Devise, implement and maintain internal controls, backup procedures, licensing, upgrades, and disaster recovery for data integrity.
• Oversee support between the education service center and district staff, including programming and end-user support.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of all hardware and software; maintain tech asset inventory and renewal cycles.
• Coordinate purchases and bids for hardware, software, and supplies within budget.
• Participate in contract negotiations for hardware, software, maintenance, and related services.
