Job summary

Sioux Falls School District is seeking an Education Support Professional for John F. Kennedy Elementary, with a 0.75 FTE schedule (30 hours/week, 9 months) and a starting wage of $18.42 per hour. The role supports students and teachers, prepares instructional materials, and maintains confidential records.

The position includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus and benefits eligibility for 20+ hours per week. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications

• Two years post high school education or higher, or pass a SD state-approved test.
• Proficiency using a computer for word processing and data entry.
• Physical requirements include constant coordination, hearing, and frequent bending, reaching, and standing.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in identifying student needs.
• Provides tutorial assistance for students in all classes.
• Prepares instruction and supplementary materials.
• Keeps records.
• Checks papers, workbooks, homework and tests.
• Assists students with makeup work.
• Maintains student confidentiality.
• Assists teachers in supervising students in the classroom.
• May be requested to transport students using a personal vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
