Job summary

Community Action Allegan in Michigan seeks an Education Supervisor to oversee the Head Start teaching teams, ensure program compliance with Head Start standards and state licensing, and manage day-to-day center operations under the Director of Operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's or higher in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) with teaching experience, plus at least three years working with children with differing abilities, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to lead staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework with ECE teaching experience.
• At least three years of experience working with children with differing abilities.
• Pass employment physical & TB test. CPR and Basic First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of Head Start teaching teams in line with Head Start standards and CAAC policies.
• Conduct performance evaluations of teaching teams.
• Provide day-to-day supervision for centers, classrooms, and staff to ensure licensing compliance.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and staff development activities.
• Review and monitor lesson plans, paperwork, and program documentation.
• Collaborate with Family Engagement and Mental Health teams as needed.
• Support planning of parent engagement activities and community events.
