ALLEGAN COUNTY RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE INC is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to provide developmentally appropriate instructional experiences for preschool children in Michigan. The role requires collaboration with a Co-Teacher to plan activities that support social, emotional, physical and educational growth.

Qualifications

• Must meet Michigan State Child Care Licensing Standards for lead caregiver.
• Head Start requirements including a Child Development Associates Credential with Infant and Toddler focus.
• At least 480 hours of childcare experience.
• AA in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred.
• Pre-employment physical, TB test; CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans activities that support progress of each child using the designated curriculum.
• Assure that room arrangement meets the developmental needs of all children.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary indoor and outdoor environment.
• Implements effective classroom management strategies.
• Plan outcomes, transitions in classroom, and implements activities for outdoor learning environment.
• Active participation in Family Partnership and collaboration with families and staff.
