The position requires coordinating meetings, events, and program activities while ensuring FERPA compliance and successful grant objectives. It is a full-time, on-site role with a 7:45 a.m.–4:30 p.m. schedule and some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites.
• Willingness to transport students using college vehicles.
• Excellent written communication skills demonstrated in applications.
• Knowledge of college access and financial aid processes (FAFSA, scholarships).

Responsibilities

• Lead Upward Bound weekly meetings at target schools.
• Assist with completing six grant objectives per DoE grants.
• Recruitment and intake of program participants.
• Provide educational activities and college/career guidance to students.
• Coordinate events like Senior Seminar and SAT Prep Day.
• Assist with ASPIRE Summer Discovery or other programs.
• Aid students with college applications and scholarship essays.
• Maintain FERPA compliant student records; support APR.
• Coordinate student activities, field trips, and college visits.
• Transport participants to program activities using college vehicles.
• Collaborate with the Upward Bound Director and instructors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the program director.
