Job summary

Fort Valley State University invites applications for the position of Upward Bound Instructor. In this role you will provide direct academic support to Upward Bound students, teaching in the areas of English, Mathematics, or Science as a part-time, temporary position with potential continuation in the Summer.

Responsibilities include conducting assigned classes, assisting with assessments, and developing course outlines. Travel may be required; Saturday teaching is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent.
• Valid Georgia professional teaching certificate in the assigned field.
• Experience with Upward Bound or college-prep programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver academic instruction in English, Mathematics, or Science as part of Upward Bound.
• Assist with assessments and track student progress.
• Prepare course outlines and syllabi for assigned courses.
• Teach on Saturdays and participate in program activities.
• Transport students if needed and maintain professional behavior.
