Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools seeks Education Specialists (Mild/Moderate) to ensure inclusive education for students with disabilities. You will collaborate with teachers, families, and paraprofessionals to implement IEPs, ABA-informed supports, and behavior plans while maintaining compliance with IDEA and state laws.

Qualifications

• Hold a B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Special Education teaching credential (Mild/Moderate or equivalent) in the state of employment.
• Must maintain active and in-good-standing credential status throughout employment.
• CPR certification must be active or candidate willing to complete CPR certification prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEPs and state standards.
• Co-teach with general education teachers to uphold accommodations and inclusive practices.
• Own and manage an IEP caseload, write compliant IEPs, and facilitate IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with psychologists and related service providers to interpret assessments and ensure services.
• Communicate with families and team members on IEP goals and progress.
