Position Title: Education Senior Manager

Department: Education

Status: Full Time/Exempt

Reports To: Chief Learning Officer

Position Summary:

We seek a strategic, business-minded Senior Manager of Education to lead and expand our educational programs. Reporting to the Chief Learning Officer, this role involves leading teams, evaluating programs, and aligning initiatives with member needs and business goals. There is potential for growth as the organization invests more in education.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Implement and refine AIUM’s education strategy in collaboration with leadership.
  • Represent the education department internally and externally.
  • Ensure programs are impactful, accessible, and financially sustainable.
  • Review and update educational offerings to meet organizational goals.
  • Lead the development and delivery of key events and courses, including the Annual Meeting, flagship courses, webinars, and onsite trainings.
  • Oversee LMS and technology platforms with IT support.

Program Evaluation & Business Strategy

  • Analyze program performance, engagement, and financial outcomes.
  • Recommend modifications or discontinuation of programs as needed.
  • Develop new revenue-generating initiatives and delivery methods.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of three education staff.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Serve as liaison to education committees and volunteer groups.
  • Partner with communities of practice and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Coordinate with peer organizations and internal departments for joint efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Education, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related.
  • At least 5 years managing education programs, ideally in associations, nonprofits, or healthcare.
  • Leadership experience with budget oversight.
  • Knowledge of CME/CEU standards and adult learning principles; experience with accreditation bodies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AMS and LMS platforms is beneficial.

  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Technologically proficient with LMS, webinar tools, and analytics.

Additional Details:

  • Remote-first with an option for office work in Laurel, MD (subject to change).
  • Travel required for conferences and events.
  • Some evening/weekend work may be necessary.
  • Salary based on experience and market ranges.
