Job summary

Teacher Created Materials is seeking an energetic Sales Consultant to partner with schools and communities and expand access to curriculum resources. This remote role focuses on Washington, D.C./Maryland areas, with field travel to meet customers and close deals.

You will lead accounts, cultivate district relationships, and meet annual sales goals while leveraging TCM’s product suite and CRM tools to manage opportunities and forecast growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in professional sales in the education or related industries.
• OR 3+ years of education experience (teacher, administrator, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Able to travel outside of territory for designated regional and national sales meetings.
• Must be located in or around the Washington D.C. or Prince George MD areas.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned goal.
• Serve as the Lead for all identified schools and districts.
• Develop close relationships with all stakeholders throughout the accounts.
• Meet with customers to discuss areas of concern and gaps.
• Develop district contacts and cultivate relationships at all levels to enhance TCM’s position and growth within accounts.
• Compile account information on organizational structure, contacts, buying process, and identify potential business activities to close accounts.
• Maintain regular contact with account base and increase revenue from positioning and demonstrating products, preparing RFPs, and closing sales.
• Generate and manage expectations within assigned accounts and increase penetration within each account.
• Qualify new opportunities and measure size and probability of closure.
• Maintain documentation in CRM for all activities.
• Maintain knowledge of company products and capabilities vs competitors.
