Job summary

BibliU is seeking an Assistant Store Manager at South Texas College in McAllen, TX. You will assist in planning, organizing and managing all retail operations, with a focus on keeping textbook and general merchandise inventories aligned with budgets.

You will recruit and develop staff, handle daily cash and register operations, coordinate with campus administrators, and travel to remote locations during each semester to support campus stores. Join a fast-growing edtech retailer.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a college bookstore or retail operation.
• 2 years supervisory capacity.
• Excellent team-building skills.
• Demonstrated administrative skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the faculty to obtain information in the text area and general merchandise areas.
• Schedule regular appointments and meet with appropriate administrative personnel to build rapport and discuss situations.
• Recruit, hire, train and maintain staff at appropriate levels according to company guidelines and budgets.
• Daily cash register operations, daily data entry of textbook information, textbook receiving and stocking, and end-of-day balancing.
• Answering telephone and email, all areas of customer service.
• Traveling to and operating remote locations during each semester.
