Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field and five years of experience in the field of college readiness.
• In-depth knowledge of secondary education requirements in Texas, postsecondary education options, application procedures, and admission requirements.
• Knowledge of financial aid and FAFSA processes.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential on-the-ground support to Aldine ISD MCR and GUIDES GEAR UP Coordinators and liaise between UT Austin and the district.
• Support delivery of activities promoting college attainment across partner middle schools and high schools.
• Assist in developing district family engagement services and monitor grant progress.
• Coordinate UT GEAR UP events and partnerships to enhance program effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with families, community organizations, and district leadership.
