Job summary

Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) seeks a Coordinato r of Teacher Education Programs to lead Early Childhood Education, Residency Licensure, and Teacher Preparation programs. The role combines leadership, instruction, student advising, and faculty coordination to strengthen educator pathways.

The Coordinator will work with school systems, colleges, and community partners, report to the Department Head, Public Services, and guide program development and evaluation in alignment with NC

Qualifications

• Minimum faculty credential requirements established by the North Carolina Community College System and WPCC.
• Master's degree in Education from an accredited college or university; OR Master’s with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Education.
• Teaching experience at a higher education institution preferred; organizational and program coordination ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination for the Early Childhood Education and Educator Preparation programs.
• Coordinate curriculum and course offerings; teach EDU courses and field-based assignments.
• Advise students; support and evaluate part-time faculty; coordinate field experiences.
• Lead program development and evaluation per applicable requirements and college policies.
