Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Wadesboro, NC is hiring a NC Pre-K Teacher to lead classrooms serving preschoolers. You will plan engaging curriculum, support early learning, and partner with families to promote school readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, NC Pre-K licensure, and a commitment to safety and licensing standards. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• NC Pre-K qualifications and licensure requirements required.
• Experience working in preschool or Pre-K settings preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Support children’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Assess and monitor children’s developmental progress.
• Maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Partner with families to support student success.
• Ensure compliance with NC Pre-K and licensing standards.
