Job summary

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is seeking an Education Programs Assistant to support family programming in the Children’s Garden on Sundays, May through October, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., under the Senior Manager of Youth Programs.

You will greet volunteers, help set up interactive stations, maintain materials, support Youth Programs volunteers, and assist with weekend classes and interpretive stations.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate with a minimum of 2 years of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing volunteers and interacting with visitors.
  • Interest or experience in education, and youth activities.
  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible.
  • Available to work 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. most Sundays May–October, with some Saturdays and weekdays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with execution for Family Programs in the Children’s Garden on Sundays.
  • Greeting volunteers, setting up interactive stations, resupplying stations, and facilitating stations as needed.
  • Maintain volunteer relationships and program materials.
  • Support Youth Programs Volunteers (e.g., Junior League, National Charity League).
  • Support Discovery and SPEAK Volunteer Interpretive stations and weekend classes.
