The Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) is a newly merged institute that is rapidly growing within the Dean of Research. As an independent research institute, HAI’smission is to advance AI research, education, policy, and practice to improve the human condition. The research programming at the HAI works to foster interdisciplinary research and elevate that work to a global audience through grant programming, convenings, fellowships and more.
HAI is hiring a Program Manager, Education to administer the day-to-day operations of its portfolio of scholar, fellow, and student programs. Reporting to the Managing Director, Research and Campus Engagements, this position administers programs including Data Science Scholars, AI4All, Data Science for Social Good (DSSG), AI and Data Science Postdoctoral Fellows, student affiliate groups, and future educational programs as they come online. The role manages meeting setup, calendaring, catering, and event logistics across the portfolio; administers participant intake, onboarding, and lifecycle activities; coordinates with faculty advisors, mentors, vendors, and partner organizations; and works closely with HAI's Communications, Finance, Policy, and HR teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable juggling multiple overlapping program calendars, has strong communication skills, and exercises sound judgment in day-to-day operational decisions under general supervision.
We are hiring one (1) full-time (100% FTE) fixed-term position for two (2) years, renewable based on programmatic need and funding.
Work Schedule: Hybrid work arrangement
The Budgeted Pay Range:
$104,412 to $124,516 per annum
