  • Monitor resource needs and make recommendations for adjustments to those resources; implement agreed‑upon solutions, which may include hiring staff to ensure the program runs efficiently.
  • Organize and contribute to program strategy discussions among stakeholders providing feedback as appropriate to advance short‑and long‑term goals.
  • Ensure timely responses to regular and ad hoc requests for information from stakeholders.
  • Collect critical programmatic, workforce development, and collaborative data for all projects.
  • Manage program budgets in collaboration with finance and business leaders.

  • Manage external collaborative partnerships to engage stakeholders in programming, philanthropy, and overall support of the program.
  • May supervise and/or oversee operational staff with program responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties
  • Coordinate DSAI signature programs that span multiple Johns Hopkins schools and divisions, including the Postdoctoral Research Fellows program and DSAI Summer Interns program, supporting interdisciplinary research, education, and engagement initiatives with faculty, administrators, students, trainees, and external partners.
  • Plan and execute DSAI annual meetings, workshops, committee meetings, advisory board meetings, and other major events, including logistics, communications, evaluation, and follow‑up.
  • Support DSAI leadership with strategic planning, advisory board and committee coordination, internal and external communications, and preparation of written materials that advance institute priorities.
  • Build and manage relationships with faculty and leadership across Johns Hopkins, government agencies, industry partners, community organizations, and philanthropic stakeholders to advance collaborative programs.
  • Develop and manage processes surrounding DSAI‑funded programs and initiatives, including competitive grant programs such as seed grants, Trusted Data Sets, Demonstration Projects, and other DSAI‑specific funded programs, large and small; support proposal preparation, award coordination, compliance, collaborator meetings, and tracking of deliverables and funding commitments.
  • Identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of programs in collaboration with other program managers and leadership.
  • Track, measure, and report program outcomes.
  • Coordinate closely with DSAI communications teams on program marketing and communications related efforts.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets as needed.
