Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a program coordinator to manage departmental educational activities, schedule events, and assemble enrollment data while ensuring compliance with accreditation and institutional guidelines.

You will support the institutional official, program director, and department chair on accreditation matters, serve as a liaison with faculty and other departments, and develop databases to track activities and learner progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience required.
  • Ability to lift moderate weight materials and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Work environment may include dust, noise and changes in temperature.

  • May oversee budgets and supervise support staff.

Summary

Under close supervision, coordinate department educational program(s) by scheduling events, assembling enrollment and education information, and following compliance guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Independently execute institutional or program activities (e.g., educational events, training, learner recruitment, interviews, orientation, schedules, and graduation).
  • Maintain proficiency in accreditation, board, and institutional requirements. Coordinate and monitor activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance.
  • Support the designated institutional official, Program Director, Department Chair, and other leaders on issues related to the requirements from accreditation agencies, national boards, and affiliates.
  • Serve as primary liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliated institutions, and national organizations.
  • Develop and maintain database(s) to track, schedule, and record activities related to the institution, program(s) and learners.
  • Provide information, support, and problem solving on a wide range of issues for leaders, faculty, staff, and learners.
  • Coordinate recruitment of preceptors, instructors, and speakers.
  • Create brochures, flyers, handbooks, and other educational materials.
  • Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities.
  • May monitor program budgets and lead or oversee the work of support staff.

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 3 year’s

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
