Job summary

The Hunt Institute in Cary, NC, seeks a Policy & Impact Manager to lead policy research, analysis, and writing across early childhood to higher education. You will support cross-functional collaboration, manage events and programs, and provide state-level policy insights to inform bipartisan education reform.

You’ll work with colleagues across teams, oversee grant deliverables, and help craft policy briefs and reports while traveling up to 15% to engage with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Commitment to advancing equitable public education.
• Minimum three years’ policy experience in early childhood, K-12, or higher education.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on education policy.
• Conduct and oversee research, analysis, and reporting.
• Assist in writing papers, policy briefs, reports, and recommendations.
• Advise colleagues and leadership on policy issues with broad impact.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives.
