Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a US Education Strategic Initiatives Lead (State, West) in San Francisco to bridge public policy with sales strategies across the western states.

You will shape policy, funding and strategy, and manage interactions with state legislators as part of Apple’s Strategic Growth & Advocacy team. The role requires up to 50% domestic travel and involves coordinating across government affairs, regional sales, and education stakeholders to unlock new opportunities for Apple

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Background in public policy, government, legislative advocacy, and/or similar function in business development across multiple government sectors.
• Experience building coalitions to advance public policy and funding initiatives.
• Ability to translate complex legislative language and statutory funding streams into actionable sales strategies and pipeline growth.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including concise legislative reports and executive briefings.
• Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills to influence cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance sales opportunities in K-20 and government markets as well as health segments.
• Engage with elected officials and department chiefs to champion funding mechanisms enabling purchases of Apple products.
• Create and maintain a level playing field for Apple products and solutions.
• Establish partnerships with education associations and advocacy groups.
• Advise regional sales managers, align policy, funding, and market dynamics with sales strategies across western states.
• Coordinate with Apple’s Government Affairs team.
• Communicate Apple’s values and advantages to policymakers and public sector leadership.
