Job summary

Suburban Cook County Online Application Consortium is seeking a Payroll Clerk to manage accurate and timely payroll for all Steger School District 194 employees, using Skyward and related systems. You will verify time and attendance, handle deductions, and maintain payroll records.

The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and solid computer skills; prior payroll or accounting in a school district or public sector is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; accounting/finance coursework preferred.
• Experience in payroll, accounting, or related fields is desirable.
• Familiarity with Skyward or similar payroll systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process accurate payroll for all district employees using Skyward.
• Review attendance records and process pay adjustments, deductions, and benefits.
• Verify pay rates, calendars, deductions, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and generate payroll reports.
• Communicate with the Finance/HR team on payroll matters and corrections.
