Epic is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Specialist to serve as its local, in-person presence in Chicago. You’ll work with schools and districts to introduce Epic to teachers, librarians, and students, helping classrooms adopt Epic’s library of eBooks, audiobooks, and read-to-me titles.

This role emphasizes educator-to-educator outreach, no selling, and requires building relationships, presenting, and shaping the school partnership playbook as Epic expands to new markets.

Qualifications

• Former school principal or education leader with deep relationships in Chicago.
• Current or former school librarian, library media specialist, or district library director.
• Current or former classroom teacher, especially an ELA or reading teacher, K-8.
• Reading specialist or literacy coach who supports K-8 teachers.
• Familiarity with the K-8 education landscape and how teachers choose tools.
• Relationships with educators in your market: teachers, librarians, coaches and staff.
• Love of children’s books and getting kids reading.
• Confidence presenting to teachers in staff meetings, libraries or webinars.
• Partnership instinct: opening doors and moving from first conversations to ongoing use.
• Self-directed, organized work style and comfort with Google Sheets.
• Reliable transportation and ability to visit schools several days a week.
• Comfort with a performance-based compensation.

Responsabilités

• Own your portfolio with 10 to 15 priority districts and their elementary and K-8 schools.
• Ignite school-wide adoption by partnering with librarians and Epic champions to scale usage.
• Lead short demos at back-to-school nights, PDs, literacy nights, and conferences; host onboarding webinars.
• Unlock district doors by building relationships with district library services and coordinators.
• Champion healthy screen time and align with local literacy goals.
• Track activity, document learnings, and contribute to the partnership playbook; nominate standout schools.
