Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education; completed 60 semester hours; passed the ETS ParaPro assessment; or passed the ACT WorkKeys assessments.

Responsibilities

• Discuss duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Present subject matter to students under teacher guidance using lectures, discussions, or role-playing methods.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, and on field trips.
• Distribute teaching materials to students.
• Enforce school regulations and policies.
• Complete required reports in a timely manner.
• Teach socially acceptable behavior using positive reinforcement.
• Work with students with multiple disabilities and adapt equipment as needed.
