Job summary

Descartes Learning Club (DLC) in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an Operations & Partnership Associate. The role spans operations, school partnerships, marketing, and enrollment, with on-site and remote work and regular travel to partner sites. A car is required for travel between schools.

The salary range is $75,000–$85,000 per year, with a potential performance-based bonus. If you enjoy fast-paced, multi-disciplinary work and building programs, this is for you.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, education, campus outreach, community engagement, business development, marketing, or a related field.
• Math or STEM teaching/tutoring experience.
• Ability to teach DLC’s K–8 math enrichment classes as needed.
• Experience working with schools, families, or children.
• Strong judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support at partner schools and the San Francisco office.
• Observe instructors and support teacher coaching and quality control.
• Coordinate school-site logistics and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare and distribute books, teaching materials, and supplies.
• Support enrollment events, assessments, and school-based activities.
• Work with school administrators, instructors, families, and after-school staff.
• Manage schedules, enrollment workflows, class logistics, and operational checklists.
• Improve systems and processes as DLC scales.
• Develop instructor training materials and video tutorials.
• Substitute teach classes as needed.
• Research and identify prospective schools and communities.
• Support outreach to school administrators, PTOs, and education leaders.
• Prepare proposals, partnership materials, and follow-up communications.
• Support meetings and presentations with prospective partners.
• Build strong relationships with schools and communities.
• Track partnership opportunities and improve our business development process.
• Support marketing and enrollment campaigns.
• Create flyers, newsletters, email announcements, and family-facing materials.
• Coordinate with schools and PTOs on program promotion.
• Support parent information sessions, virtual Q&As, and assessments.
• Monitoring enrollment and identifying opportunities to increase participation.
• Maintaining clear, polished, and responsive communication with families and school partners.
