Descartes Learning Club (DLC) is a fast-growing Bay Area math enrichment organization helping K–8 students build deep mathematical thinking, confidence, and a genuine love of problem solving.
We partner with leading public and private schools across the Bay Area to offer small-group programs built around Beast Academy, Art of Problem Solving, Math Circle-style problem solving, and competition mathematics. Our approach emphasizes conceptual understanding, logic, creativity, and appropriately challenging instruction—not rote memorization or repetitive drills.
DLC has grown rapidly through strong word of mouth from families and schools while maintaining a highly personalized approach to teaching. We are building a mission-driven education organization with the ambition to bring rigorous, joyful mathematics to many more students across the Bay Area and beyond.
We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and resourceful Operations & Partnership Associate to help us run and grow our programs across the San Francisco Bay Area.
This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary role spanning operations, school partnerships, marketing, and enrollment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, solves problems quickly, and is equally comfortable working on-site at a school, communicating with families and partners, and improving systems behind the scenes.
This is a hybrid role with substantial remote work as well as regular on-site work at our San Francisco office and partner schools throughout the Bay Area.
Candidates must have access to a car and be willing to travel to partner schools as needed. Required travel between work locations and to partner schools outside San Francisco will be reimbursed in accordance with applicable law and company policy. Ordinary commuting to a single San Francisco work location is not reimbursed.
$75,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
There may also be an opportunity to earn a performance-based bonus based on individual and organizational performance.
