Job summary

NY Preschool & Kids Club is seeking a Sr. Director of Education & Operational Excellence to strengthen day-to-day execution, consistency, and school performance across its 12 campuses.

Reporting to the VP of Education Innovation, this role partners with Directors of Education and Heads of School to ensure operations support exceptional teaching and family experience. The leader will unify people, programming, enrollment, staffing, facilities, safety, compliance, planning, and execution, driving

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience in education, with at least 5 years in school or multi-site leadership.
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree in education, business, leadership, or related field preferred.
• New York State Early Childhood Initial or Professional Certification (B-2 or 1-6).
• Experience leading school or multi-site education operations.
• Experience managing staffing and labor costs, including scheduling, ratios, and enrollment alignment.
• Strong understanding of curriculum, teaching and learning, and developmentally appropriate practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead school operations across all campuses with clear expectations and consistent execution.
• Translate educational philosophy into clear standards for school performance.
• Strengthen training, observation, and feedback practices for leaders and teams.
• Support enrollment, facilities, family experience, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives like new school openings and program launches.
