Job summary

NY Preschool & Kids Club in New York City seeks a Sr. Director of Education & Operational Excellence. This on-site role oversees day-to-day school operations, teaching quality, and family experience across 12 campuses, reporting to the VP of Education Innovation.

You will align curriculum, programming, and compliance while building scalable systems. The ideal candidate combines hands-on education leadership with pragmatic operations, collaborating with school leaders and central teams to elevate

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in education with at least 5 years in school or multi-site leadership.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• NYS Early Childhood Initial or Professional Certification required.
• Experience leading school or multi-site education operations.
• Experience managing staffing and labor costs and scheduling.
• Strong understanding of curriculum, teaching, learning, and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead School Operations: partner with Heads of School to ensure clear expectations and strong daily operations across all schools.
• Champion Education, Brand & School Excellence by translating philosophy into clear standards.
• Strengthen Training, Observation & Feedback to develop leaders and teams.
• Enrollment & Family Experience: support enrollment performance and family experience alignment.
• Compliance, Safety & Risk Management to ensure licensing and safety standards.
• Build Clear Systems, Processes & Accountability for easier execution.
• Lead Through Communication & Collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Lead School Excellence, Develop Leaders & Drive Performance across campuses.
