Job summary

The Ohio Education Association in Canton, OH is seeking a UniServ Labor Relations Consultant to support local associations through bargaining, member rights advocacy, and program development. This professional represents educators in negotiations, organizes members, and provides leadership training.

The role requires travel and occasional evenings or weekends, with willingness to relocate if needed. You will collaborate with UniServ Organizers and act as a field liaison and subject‑matter expert

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in collective bargaining, contract language, and grievance processing.
• Strong ability to advocate for members and local associations and to train leaders.
• Familiarity with education policy, political environment, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assists, and/or serves as a consultant to locals in the bargaining process.
• Assists members and locals in member rights advocacy.
• Advises leaders on local operations and program development.
• Develops and disseminates communications; may serve as public spokesperson.
• Collaborates with UniServ Organizers and supports political advocacy at multiple levels.
