Job summary

Colorado Academy is seeking an Associate Systems Administrator in Denver to manage endpoint security, cloud identities, and classroom technologies. You will drive security improvements, support SIS/LMS integrations, and manage projects from research to rollout while partnering with faculty and staff.

The role covers a broad IT landscape, including Jamf Pro, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Palo Alto networking, with a focus on learning systems and security across a K–12 community.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on IT experience in systems administration, infrastructure, or similar broad technical role.
• Familiarity across endpoint and device management, cloud identity, endpoint security tooling, network and firewall administration, or application & API integrations.
• Proven ability to research ambiguous problems and deliver working solutions.
• Experience managing technology projects through to completion with planning, documentation and rollout.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Administer endpoint security and security awareness platforms (CrowdStrike, Abnormal Security, and security awareness training).
• Implement security improvements and support incident response; hardening configurations and access controls.
• Administer Apple device management (Jamf Pro), cloud identity (Entra ID, Google Workspace), and network/security infrastructure (Palo Alto, GlobalProtect).
• Assist with Canvas LMS and Blackbaud SIS administration and integrations.
• Serve as backup administrator and ensure continuity during absences.
• Execute technology projects from research to rollout with vendor/options analysis and documentation.
• Improve systems/workflows through automation, scripting, and process redesign.
• Provide direct technical support to faculty, staff, and students; escalate complex issues.
